The Power of the Lens: Photography from the Personal to the Global
The Power of the Lens: Photography from the Personal to the Global
Ronit Berkman, collector and photographer, invites us into her spectacular home to share her own story, photography practice, and collection. In a relaxed setting, we will gain insight into the evolution of both her career path and her impeccable taste.
Ronit will also host photographer Diane Tuft, who will share her twenty years of experience traversing the globe to document our changing environment. The result of Tuft’s artistic exploration yields spellbinding abstractions and magical landscapes, and her adventurous spirit has created a documentarian record of a rapidly changing world. Join us as she brings far-flung corners of the globe (and examples of her work) into our salon, and shares the evolution of her journey. Tuft’s work has been exhibited in galleries and museums, such as Hollis Taggart Galleries, Marlborough Gallery, and the Bruce Museum. Her newest project, The Rising Tide, will focus on locations throughout the world that are experiencing the effects of coastal soil erosion due to climate change.
