Columbia University’s Avery Library Collection:
- Experience one of Upper Manhattan’s best kept secrets as Roberto Ferrari, Columbia University’s curator of Art Properties, gives us an insider’s view of Columbia’s extraordinary collection in two parts:
- First, we will gather in the university’s Avery Architectural & Fine Arts Library for a show-and- tell of holdings related to our Figuration theme; and
- Next, we will proceed outdoors for a guided tour of Columbia’s impressive public sculpture collection as we stroll through and enjoy a springtime walk on the beautiful university grounds.
- Many of you will remember Dr. Ferrari as one of the expert curators who guided us through the brilliant and beautiful Florine Stettheimer exhibition at The Jewish Museum, for which Columbia University was a primary donor.
